About the Instrument
The LSP-16 is an abbreviated version of the original Life Skills Profile (Rosen, Parker & Hadzi-Pavlovic), developed to reduce rating burden while retaining coverage of everyday functioning. It is used alongside HoNOS in several national mental health outcome frameworks.
What It Measures
Everyday functioning and disability relevant to independent living in people with severe mental illness (e.g. self-care, communication, social contact, responsibility).
Digital Administration
Delivered electronically through the PROMinsight platform as part of a digital patient-reported outcomes workflow.
Scoring / Reporting
Clinician ratings on each item are combined into subscale and total functioning scores per the published scoring manual.
Use in Research / Clinical Care / Clinical Trials
Used in mental health service outcome measurement and research on functioning in severe mental illness, often paired with HoNOS.
