What is MacCAT?
MacCAT is a computerized adaptive testing (CAT) system that measures the impact of age-related macular degeneration (AMD), and associated vision loss and AMD treatments on 6 domains of quality of life, which include:
Activity limitation – 62 items
Lighting – 18 items
Mobility – 19 items
AMD management – 19 items
Emotional – 30 items
Concerns – 40 items
MacCAT has been developed and validated in patients with glaucoma in Singapore and is currently available for use.
