This Health Area includes instruments completed by caregivers or focused on a patient’s social support network, rather than the patient themselves. It covers a widely used measure of perceived social support and a caregiver burden scale originally developed for dementia caregiving and now used across many caregiving contexts. These instruments are used in chronic illness, dementia, and caregiving research to understand the wider impact of illness on families and support networks, and are available for digital administration through the PROMinsight platform.
